Receipt
All goods received must have delivery notes with them.
Goods will not be accepted if a note does not accompany them.
The note must contain the following information:
Quantity
Publisher’s Name
Name of Publication
Date of issue for insertion
Where information is incomplete, we will not be responsible for resulting errors.
We do not count the inserts prior to production and cannot be held responsible for shortfalls.
Electronic delivery notes will be signed and suffixed ‘NC’ meaning not checked.
All goods must be palletised and in a sound condition.
Any damaged goods will not be accepted.
Supplied material can be received between 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
Any other delivery times must be approved by a company representative.
Packaging Method
All inserts received must show the same information on the pallet or boxes as that show on the delivery note. Only one type of insert is to be packed per pallet so if you are sending us an insert which is spread over two insertions, each batch should be packaged and marked separately.
Inserts should be well knocked up and placed within the outer edges of the pallet, with folding edges turned at 20cm intervals.
The pallet should be shrink wrapped and protected at the edges.
If the inserts are boxed and are smaller than the carton, please ensure that the contents are banded and the inserts are well protected within the box.
Storage of Inserts
We do not budget for extended periods of storage in terms of space or cost, so the following apply as conditions of acceptance of your inserts:
Before Mailing
For all titles other than weeklies, we will not accept inserts any further in advance than the current issue. For weeklies, we will accept up to two weeks in advance.
After Mailing
You should advise before production commences if you do not wish us to dispose of all leftover inserts. It is standard procedure to dispose of excess amounts immediately on completion. Where we have been asked to store a charge will apply for storage/disposal/delivery of significant quantities.
Administration of Inserts
We will only insert those items shown on the purchase order give at least 48 hours before production commences.
Copies of inserts received will be sent to the publisher before production begins, providing there is time to do so. We need you to acknowledge the receipt and confirm the items for insertion are correct.
Where the insert is received late to our premises, we cannot guarantee to make the insertion but will make our best efforts to help. If an insert is late and due to its lateness a mailing line production window is missed, we will try to mail it as soon as a production window is available. We will not accept responsibility for late delivery should this occur.
We will inform you if an insert has not arrived and it will be your decision to hold or proceed with the mailing. In the event of not receiving your approval for whatever reason we will not proceed with the mailing. All instructions must be written. All inserts must be ready for insertion and require no further work to allow them to be inserted. All dealings regarding inserts will be solely with the publisher.
